Parmar takes a positive and caring approach to his work, which makes every visit to his office extremely enjoyable. I came to him with minor tension in my shoulders/neck and was a bit of a disgruntled soul. He attended to me with a thorough assessment, comfortable adjustments, and preventative information and exercises to correct my posture. I have visited far too many Chiropractors since 1996 and I believe Dr. Ackerman is the last Chiropractor I will ever need. Dr. Ackerman breaks the mould with her vast knowledge in Active Release Techniques coupled with fundamental Chiropractic procedures. It's very refreshing to find a Doctor with so much knowledge in so many fields of muscular and skeletal care. When I first visited Dr. Parmar's office I had a very serious numbness, tingling pins and needles pain in my neck and shoulder for quite sometime. Thanks to Dr.Parmar's expertise using the "state of the art" Laser Therapy thru an Active Release Technique, I no longer have any pain in my shoulder. What a relief, that was.!!! I also had a serious chronic lower back problem that he corrected after a few visits that no other doctor seem to be able to resolve for years. Again, he gave me my quality of life back.!!! My son had food sensitivities. I took him to the naturopath, Jordana Aziz, at Alliance Wellness. She was wonderful! Following her recommendations, my son went from being a miserable thing to a happy little boy! He went from waking every 20 mins at night, to scream his lungs out in pain, to sleeping 5.5 consecutive hours the other night. It's not totally smoothing sailing now, but it literally saved my family from the brink of insanity. After visiting numerous RMTs and physiotherapists in Vancouver over a period of a year and a half, I almost gave up hope of ever resolving my shoulder and back pain which was greatly limiting my ability to perform simple daily tasks. I never sought treatment from a chiropractor before, but after watching videos on active release therapy I thought I would try it. It worked! Both Jaimie and Jaipaul helped me! They both completely understood my condition and provided excellent treatment which did not aggrevate my already inflamed muscles. Also, they recommended a minimal number of treatments and never tried to push additional services I did not need.
