Dr. Jaipaul Parmar is a graduate of Western States Chiropractic College at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. In addition to his doctorate in chiropractic, Dr.Parmar also has a bachelor of science in Human Biology and also another in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Northern British Columbia.  He is specialized in the use of chiropractic manipulation, Active Release Technique soft tissue therapy, rehab/exercise prescription, nutritional advice and taking an integrative approach to healthcare. In addition to hands on and electrotherapy modalities


Dr. Parmar also offers laser light therapy. Although trained as a sports medicine focused chiropractor, Dr.Parmar excels at treating varying population groups including pediatric, geriatric, TMJ disorder and migraine patients. Dr. Parmar is committed to developing personalized treatment plans to ensure optimal health and wellness. 

Dr. Parmar is committed to continuing education in chiropractic health in an effort to provide his patients the most up-to-date and evidence based health care. Dr.Parmar frequently attends chiropractic post-graduate seminars on topics including: Golf injury diagnosis and treatment, Active Release Technique soft tissue therapy, Graston instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, advanced extremity manipulation, Kinesio-tape clinical application and numerous webinars regarding nutrition and clinical medicine practice today. Dr.Parmar has received his certification in low level light therapy with Meditech Bioflex laser systems and is excited to offer that service in his Vancouver Alliance Wellness location.

As a chiropractor in Vancouver BC, Dr. Parmar has lectured in both small and large group settings on topics ranging from back ergonomics in office settings, sports injury prevention and condition related talks such as migraine headaches.

Dr.Parmar serves as the director of the lower mainland with the British Columbia Chiropractic Association (BCCA) board of directors. The BCCA is the voluntary professional organization that represents BC chiropractic doctors on matters including health policy, public relations, and liaison with health authorities including WorkSafeBC, ICBC, Pacific Blue Cross and other agencies.

In the community, Dr.Parmar is involved with many organizations, one of which is a board member with MADD Metro Vancouver. One his projects for 2012 was organizing the MADD Strides for Change event in June. This is an annual non-competitive 5km run, walk and wheel chair event that is held across Canada in an effort to raise awareness on the effects of impaired driving. Through the year, Dr.Parmar enjoys volunteering his skills with various marathons and tri-athalons and events such as Corporate Champions Vancouver and World Autism Day to offer on-site chiropractic care.

Outside of the clinic, Dr.Parmar loves to travel and explore foods and cultures of different nations. In addition to yoga, golf and soccer, he enjoys running shorter races and is working towards a full marathon.
